| The
Sahaja Yoga technique activates the soothing, calming effect
of our parasympathetic nervous system.
“Sahaja” means “born with you” or “spontaneous.”
Every person is born with the right to attain their self realization.
Each of us has from birth a latent spiritual energy, depicted
as a coil in the triangular bone (sacrum) in the diagram at
right. Because the energy is coiled, it is called “kundalini”
in Sanskrit.
Once this energy is awakened, it moves up the central channel,
located in the spinal cord, and emits from the top of the head
above the limbic area of the brain. The kundalini is a mothering,
nourishing energy which corrects our imbalances by supplying
vibrations to each of the chakras.
This flow of pure energy creates relaxation and peace. A cool
breeze can be felt in the palms and above the head. A blockage
in a chakra is felt as heat until the blockage is cleared. Part
of the knowledge of Sahaja Yoga, which is always taught at no
charge, is learning how to clear any chakra. Sahaja Yoga works
by enlightening our attention. We become complete masters of
ourselves—we each become our own guru.
Not only is it easy to learn the techniques of Sahaja Yoga,
it is easy to give the experience of kundalini awakening to
others. A candle, once lit, can give light to any other candle.

subtle system. After realization, you can feel each chakra on
its corresponding finger or part of the hand.
The chakras are energy centers
which correspond to the nerve plexuses.
